WALLMIX R-60 waterproofing mixture is designed to protect durable rigid concrete and plaster foundations that do not undergo deformation during operation, indoors (showers, bathrooms, basements, etc.) from periodic and constant humidification, as well as under hydrostatic pressure of water pillars up to 5 m high. It is applied from the side of water exposure, before facing with artificial or natural materials. Can be used for waterproofing drinking water tanks.
A mixture of cement with mineral fillers and modifying additives.
It is carried out in accordance with the requirements of DSTU-N B А.3.1-23: 2013 and DSTU-N B В.2.6-212: 2016. Mineral substrates made of concrete, cement and cement-lime plaster, masonry with even and full joints (do not use on mixed masonry), dry cement screeds must be non-deformable, strong and tough, without cracks and sagging, cleaned of dust, dirt, oils, grease, paint and other substances that reduce the adhesion of the mixture to the base. Small irregularities in the surface of the base must be smoothed out, and fragile layers must be removed. Sharp edges and corners should be broken off and rounded off to a radius of 4 cm. If walls and floors are leaking, sealing strips and patches should be used. The compressive strength of the foundation must be at least 12 MPa. Concrete bases are waterproofed no earlier than 3 months after their installation, brickwork with flush-stitched seams and cement-sandy bases – no earlier than 28 days. Before applying the first layer of waterproofing, the base must be moistened with water until a matt-wet gloss is obtained, avoiding the appearance of a continuous water film.
Pour the dry mixture into a container with clean water at room temperature. The amount of water is regulated depending on the technology of work performance: when applying with a spatula or spatula, mix 1 kg of dry mixture and 0.22 liters of water (5.5 liters per 25 kg bag); when applied with a brush or brush – 1 kg of dry mixture and 0.270.30 l of water (6.75-7.5 l per 25 kg bag). Stir thoroughly with a mixer or a low-speed drill with a nozzle until a homogeneous consistency without lumps and clots is achieved. Then let the mixture stand for 5 minutes and mix thoroughly again. The resulting mixture must be used within 1 hour.
Do not add other components to the mixture.
When performing work, it is necessary to comply with the requirements of the current regulatory documentation.
The prepared mortar mixture is applied in a thin layer using a paint brush or a brush to a humid, but not wet base, following the “wet on wet” method. The mixture must be applied in one direction without crossing movements. The applied layer must be protected from rapid drying. The second layer of the mortar mixture must be applied with a brush or spatula in the perpendicular direction of the hardened first layer. It is necessary to ensure that the surface of the mixture is wet. It is especially important to apply the mortar in corners, edges and aisles. The mixture is applied to the base in two layers with a brush or in two layers with a brush and a spatula. Before finishing work, make sure that the entire surface of the base is covered with a mortar thickness of at least 3 mm. The thickness of the layers should not exceed 5 mm. The dried mortar is ready for use three days after application. After setting, the mortar is not designed for intense mechanical stress. Full readiness for operation – after 7 days.
Under normal climatic conditions (temperature +20 ° C and 60% relative humidity), the mortar curing time is approximately 24 hours.
Work should be performed at temperatures from +5 ° C to +30 ° C. The most effective result is achieved at a temperature of +20 ° C and a relative humidity of 60%. In other conditions, the operating parameters of the mixture may change. At the beginning of the work, for at least 24 hours, the mixture must be protected from direct sunlight, drafts, as well as high humidity (rain, fog, etc.).
The consumption of the mixture is ~ 1.4 kg / m2 with a layer thickness of 1 mm.
The mixture contains cement, which causes an alkaline reaction at the time of hydration, so when working it is necessary to protect the eyes and skin. In case of contact with eye, rinse immediately with running water and seek medical advice.
The mixture must be stored in original sealed packaging in a dry place on pallets. The shelf life is 12 months from the date of production indicated on the package. Use damaged bags first.
25 kg paper bags with an inner polyethylene layer.
