The WALLMIX K-5 adhesive mixture is intended for cladding vertical concrete, brick, cement-sand, cement-lime and other non-deformable surfaces, ceramic, concrete tiles and artificial stone with dimensions not exceeding 300 × 300 mm and water absorption of more than 1%. The adhesive can be used inside and outside industrial and residential buildings.
A mixture of cement with mineral fillers and modifying additives.
It is carried out in accordance with the requirements of DSTU-N B A.3.1-23: 2013 and DSTU-N B V.2.6-212: 2016. The surface must be dry, solid and cleaned from dust, dirt, oil, grease, wax and paints. Weak surface must be removed. Highly absorbent surface must be treated with WALLMIX Universal or WALLMIX Interior deep-penetrating emulsion and left to stand for 4 hours. Weakly absorbent and smooth substrates are treated with WALLMIX Concretekontakt adhesive primer before starting work and kept for 4 to 6 hours.
Pour the dry mixture into a container with clean water at room temperature in the proportion of 0.18-0.21 l per 1 kg of the mixture (4.5-5.25 l per 25 kg bag). Mix thoroughly with a stirrer or a low-speed drill with a nozzle until a homogeneous consistency without lumps and clots. Then let the solution stand for 5 minutes and mix thoroughly again. The mortar retains its adhesive properties for 1 hour.
Attention! Do not add other components to the mixture.
Execution of work.
Apply the prepared mortar mixture with a spatula or trowel to the surface. Then level it with a notched comb or a spatula with a U-shaped or square-shaped teeth, which form even ridges of the same height on the surface (the spatula must be held at an angle of 45 ° to the surface). After laying the tiles, remove any adhesive residues with a damp sponge. The width of the tile joints must be at least 2 mm.
Do not pre-soak the tiles.
The shelf life of the mortar mixture is 1 hour. The tiles must be installed no later than 15 minutes after the application of the adhesive solution. Adjust the tiles within 10 minutes after laying. Grouting should be started no earlier than 48 hours after laying the tiles.
Work should be performed at temperatures from +5 ° C to +30 ° C. The most effective result is achieved at a temperature of +20 ° C and a relative humidity of 60%. In other conditions, the operating parameters of the mixture may change. When performing work, the facade must be protected from direct sunlight, as well as high humidity (rain, fog, etc.).
On average, it is consumed from 3 kg / m2, depending on the thickness of the applied layer and the condition of the surface.
The mixture contains cement, which causes an alkaline reaction at the moment of hydration, therefore, when working, it is necessary to protect eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with running water and consult a doctor.
The mixture must be stored in original sealed packaging in a dry place on pallets. The shelf life is 12 months from the date of production indicated on the package. Use damaged bags first.
Packaging. 25 kg paper bags with an inner polyethylene layer.
