WALLMIX D-20 screed is designed for laying and repairing floors inside and outside buildings, making floors with a slope, preparing substrates for leveling mixtures, as well as for laying ceramic coatings. It can be used for the installation of floor screeds, connected rigidly to the base (layer thickness from 10 mm), on a separating layer (thickness from 30 mm), on “floating” (thermal insulation) layers (thickness from 40 mm) and in underfloor heating systems.
A mixture of cement with mineral fillers, reinforcing fibers and modifying additives.
It is carried out following the requirements of DSTU-N B A.3.1-23: 2013, SNiP 2.03.13-88 and DSTU-N B V.2.6-212: 2016. The substrate must be dry, sound and free from dust, dirt, oil, grease, wax and paint residues. Weak layers must be removed. Existing cracks must be widened and mechanically deepened to a depth of 1/2 of the thickness of the top layer and up to 5 mm wide, primed with a deep-penetrating emulsion WALLMIX INTERIOR or WALLMIX UNIVERSAL, cure for 4 to 6 hours and cover with mortar mixture WALLMIX D-20. The concrete base must be solid and at least 3 months old. The required brand strength of the base, on which the screed will be laid, must be at least 15 MPa. Highly absorbent substrates must be treated with WALLMIX INTERIOR or WALLMIX UNIVERSAL deeppenetrating emulsion and cured for 4 to 6 hours. Weakly absorbent and smooth substrates are treated with WALLMIX BetonKontakt adhesive primer before starting work and kept for 4 to 6 hours.
Pour the dry mixture into a container with clean water at room temperature in a proportion of 0.14-0.17 l per 1 kg of the mixture (3.5-4.25 l per 25 kg bag). Stir thoroughly with a mixer or a low-speed drill with a nozzle until a homogeneous consistency without lumps and clots is achieved. Then let the solution stand for 5 minutes and mix thoroughly again. The resulting solution must be used within 1 hour.
Attention! Do not add other components to the mixture.
When performing work, it is necessary to comply with the requirements of the current regulatory documentation. The mortar mixture is placed between the preinstalled beacons. After laying the mixture, it should be evenly distributed and leveled using a rule-rail, a trowel or other tool. Final leveling and smoothing should be done with a plastic/styrofoam float or other tools. On an area of more than 20 m², shrinkage joints must be made to prevent mechanical deformation. When installing a floor with a water heating system, it is necessary to fill the heating elements with water at room temperature and do not drain until they are fully set, and the layer thickness must be at least 25 mm above the upper edge of the heating pipes. The thickness of the layer of the WALLMIX D-20 mortar mixture, applied in one pass, should be from 10 to 40 mm. When applying a layer with a thickness of 40-100 mm, use the WALLMIX D-20 mixture with the addition of a coarse (up to 10 mm) filler (crushed stone, expanded clay, etc.). Under normal climatic conditions (temperature +20 ° C and relative humidity 60%), technological movement on the surface is possible after 8 hours. The solution layer must be protected from rapid drying and, if necessary, moistened by spraying. Ceramic tiles can be laid after 24 hours, other materials can be installed after 72 hours. Painting is allowed only after 7 days.
Work should be performed at temperatures from +5 ° C to +30 ° C. At the beginning of the work, for at least 48 hours, the solution must be protected from direct sunlight, as well as high humidity (rain, fog, etc.).
The consumption of the mixture is ~ 1.8 kg / m2 at a layer thickness of 1 mm.
The mixture contains cement, which causes an alkaline reaction at the time of hydration; during the job execution it is necessary to protect the eyes and skin. In case of contact with the mixture, rinse immediately with running water and consult a doctor.
The mixture must be stored in original sealed packaging in a dry place on pallets. The shelf life is 12 months from the date of production indicated on the package. Use damaged bags first.
